Hi! My name is Rachel Swaim. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC). I completed my Master’s degree in Counseling with a concentration in clinical mental health from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2020.

I provide individual and family therapy to adolescents and adults. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, and addiction. I view counseling as a collaborative process between clients and myself, with clients being able to set their own goals for therapy and treatment. I take a Person-Centered approach to therapy while pulling interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

I am currently accepting new clients and look forward to connecting with you!

I have developed and honed my skills over the last eight years by working with various populations including children, adolescents, and adults in case management, private practice, hospital, school/day treatment, and tele-mental health settings. Some of the areas that I have practice include stress/anxiety, depression, self-harm,

self-esteem, substance use, trauma, personal growth, and adjustments/life transitions.

My approach to counseling is a person-centered and strengths-based approach while utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness. I also have experience with motivational interviewing.

I strive to provide clients with the foundation that is needed to improve their current situation and help them to reach their goals. I am passionate about creating a safe and welcoming space where clients feel empowered to be their most genuine self. Hi, my name is Johanna! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A). I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Human Development and Family Studies and Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

My counseling experience includes working with a wide range of ages from diverse cultural backgrounds in both individual and group settings. My therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to meet your unique needs. I commonly incorporate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to develop more adaptive thinking patterns. Additionally, I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), which is a goal-oriented approach that emphasizes strengths, resources, and present-focused solutions. I speak both English and Spanish.

Through our therapeutic relationship, I hope to work collaboratively with you to address any concerns and/or other aspects of yourself and your life that you would like to explore through the therapeutic process. My goal is to provide a welcoming and safe environment for individuals and families to grow and reach their goals. I truly believe that every person has the traits and strengths within themselves to reach their full potential. My goal is to help you reconnect with those traits to live your most authentic life.

I am currently accepting new clients! It would be both a pleasure and an honor to have the opportunity to work with you.

My name is Shaye Latham, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice. I’m currently in my final year of the Master of Social Work program at UNC-Charlotte and completing my clinical internship at Bloom Therapeutics. With a background in emergency communications and a deep understanding of the responder world, I’ve developed a strong passion for supporting first responders and their mental health.

Throughout my internship, I’ve focused on learning trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches that can be tailored to the unique experiences of law enforcement, EMS, fire, and dispatch personnel. I understand the challenges that come with serving in high-stress roles, and I’m committed to creating a safe, supportive space where responders can process, reset, and find balance.

While first responder wellness is at the heart of my work, I’m equally dedicated to providing individualized care to clients from all backgrounds. My goal is to walk alongside each person in their healing process, offering compassion, guidance, and practical tools for growth.
