My name is Shaye Latham, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice. I’m currently in my final year of the Master of Social Work program at UNC-Charlotte and completing my clinical internship at Bloom Therapeutics. With a background in emergency communications and a deep understanding of the responder world, I’ve developed a strong passion for supporting first responders and their mental health.
Throughout my internship, I’ve focused on learning trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches that can be tailored to the unique experiences of law enforcement, EMS, fire, and dispatch personnel. I understand the challenges that come with serving in high-stress roles, and I’m committed to creating a safe, supportive space where responders can process, reset, and find balance.
While first responder wellness is at the heart of my work, I’m equally dedicated to providing individualized care to clients from all backgrounds. My goal is to walk alongside each person in their healing process, offering compassion, guidance, and practical tools for growth.
